Exclusive Offer
Regent Seven Seas Cruises® offers guests An Unrivaled Experience®. With so many destinations and itineraries to choose from, your next luxury holiday could be closer than you think. All three of the ships also have an elaborate Serene Spa & Wellness Center with treatment rooms and a relaxation room. A hydrothermal suite includes a multisensory aromatherapy steam room, chill room, infrared sauna and experiential showers, plus an outdoor lounge area with three whirlpools. Among other luxury touches, every cabin on every Regent ship is a suite, and the number of restaurants, bars and lounges is impressive for vessels of this size. It began operating just a few years after the founding of luxury cruise competitors Crystal Cruises (now reborn as Crystal) and Seabourn.

It features a $200,000 Hästens Vividus custom handmade mattress, an in-suite spa retreat with a personal sauna and steam room and 270-degree views from the ship’s bow from a 1,292-square-foot wraparound veranda. Those passengers get their own butler and personal car and driver in every port. There’s also an outdoor relaxation area with three whirlpools looking back over water; this was one of my favorite places to spend time admiring the ocean during our three-night cruise. While cruises are often about the ports of call, the Seven Seas Grandeur — sibling ship to RSSC's Seven Seas Explorer and Seven Seas Splendor, is a destination in itself.

The three ships in the Small Cruise Ship Class are all at least 20 years old. For now, there are just two ships in the Explorer Class, and both have debuted since 2016. But that number is scheduled to rise to three in December with the arrival of Regent's new Seven Seas Grandeur.

Destination Services features personalized services and programs that enable you to travel at your own pace and explore those things which interest you the most. From unique, prebookable adventures ashore to exclusive pre- and post-cruise land programs, the world is quite literally in the palm of your hand when you travel with Regent Seven Seas Cruises. A pre-cruise hotel package for guests staying in Concierge-level suites and above is especially welcome for travellers from Australia and New Zealand who can look forward to boarding their ship well-rested and ready to enjoy their cruise. Besides the bright and open design in ocean-inspired hues of blue and cream, I loved the attention to detail in my suite, down to the field glasses sitting in the cabinet, ready to help you spot wildlife or faraway islands. The two-bedroom, two-and-a-half bath Regent Suite, priced at $11,000 per night, offers spectacular amenities including its own hot tub, unlimited spa services offered in-suite, and private dining in a room hidden between two of the ship’s specialty restaurants.

The smaller Seven Seas Navigator, which holds just 490 passengers, has all of the same eateries above, too, with the exception of Chartreuse. It's the only Regent ship without this popular French restaurant. Built over the past decade, the Explorer Class ships are the line's newest, biggest and most elegant vessels. The Small Cruise Ship Class ships are much older vessels and, as the class name suggests, the smallest ships in the Regent fleet.
Regent includes unlimited shore excursions on every sailing so guests can take full advantage of what each port has to offer. On our cruise to Freeport, Bahamas, excursions included swimming with the pigs at a local beach, relaxing at a nearby resort, snorkeling, touring Grand Bahama Island on a Jeep safari, and more. You can find a list of shore excursions on the Regent website for each port before booking, and you can book them online starting at 365 days before your cruise if you booked a suite with concierge amenities or 300 days in advance without concierge benefits. While there are typically several free options for every port, Regent Choice Shore Excursions are also available for an additional charge. Regent Seven Seas Cruises is recognized as one of the world's premier luxury lines with features such as all-suite, all-balcony ships and superior space and service ratios. However, even more compelling than the quality of our ships is the adventurous spirit of Regent Seven Seas Cruises - the imaginative itineraries, unique shore excursions and land tours, and the other innovative services we offer discerning guests.
We have been on around 15 other cruises, and still think of the two that we took on the Regent Sea as among the best. The Captain, who looked like Marlon Brando in his prime, got very annoyed and really leaned on the ship's horn (whistle) in Ketchikan, when a seaplane taking off cut across our bow when leaving the harbor. I enjoyed the ship - my wife hated the purple bathroom fixtures, but otherwise enjoyed it. We sailed Regent Sun Los Angeles to Vancouver, with a stop in Ketchikan, back in 5-90.
Instead of thousands of passengers, each Regent vessel is designed to hold just a few hundred people. I was 20 (college) and was definitely the youngest person on the ship. I saw other cabins that were tiny but with efficient use of space. There was a lot of genuine wood in our cabin and throughout the ship, also plenty of exposed pipes and conduits.
La Veranda is the ship’s main buffet restaurant for breakfast and lunch; during our sailing, we enjoyed sushi, lobster, paella, salads, and a very delicious cronut during casual meals here. In the evening, La Veranda becomes Sette Mari at La Veranda, a table-service restaurant serving Italian food. If you want a classic cheeseburger, lobster nachos, or a Korean fried chicken sandwich — or even just a milkshake by the pool — the Pool Grill has you covered with relaxed al fresco eats. And the baristas at Coffee Connection are ready to make your espresso drinks just the way you like them. On our third day, the barista actually had my mom’s coffee ready as soon as she sat down — she didn’t even have to order, he just remembered how she liked it. There are seven unique dining venues and several bars located throughout the ship, and specialty restaurants are included in the rate.
The ambiance on a Regent Cruise ship is personal, individual, and accommodating. It was a 7 day R/T out of Tampa to Cozumel, Montego Bay & Grand Cayman. We later did three cruises on the Regent Star from Montreal to NY in 1990, a coastal from San Diego to Ketchikan & Vancouver in 1991 & a one way from Whittier, AK to Vancouver in 1992.
